For the second day in a row our weather was unusually bright, crisp, and beautiful.

They had a post office on base but I'm pretty sure I will be back in the states for at least a few weeks before my postcard reaches my parents house..

Britain, Chile, and Argentina all lay claim to the Antarctic Peninsula.

What a backdrop..

This is the entrance to the Lemaire Channel, the panoramic here was pretty incredible..

..even the penguins came out to take in the view..

..although the seals had seen it all before.
