This is the reunification palace in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). Our tour guide stressed that the south was "liberated" from the colonialist government instituted by the United States.

This was on display outside of the War Remnants Museum, formerly called the Chinese and American War Crimes Museum. It is a tough museum to stomach. I didn't take any pictures inside.

Jeff and I decided to treat ourselves to a fancy restaurant on Saturday night. It is a local favorite, no other westerners in sight. The only item on the menu? Dog.
