Roatan Island, Honduras
We flew from San Pedro Sula on mainland Honduras to the Bay Island of Roatan on this small puddle jumper. The pilot literally had to climb over my sister June to get up to his seat

We visited Sister Nora and her granddaughter Sister Myra. They live in the property adjacent to the church.

Outside the door of the room where I was staying, I discovered a picture of my great grandfather on the wall. He was an evangelical minister who had visited the island 50 years before me.

I dropped my favorite pen down through the cracks of the pier down into the water. I was too big to get down there and get it back, but Sister Maira saved the day! :-)

Just down the beach a few miles from Dandy Bay is West Bay, one of the most developed areas of the island.

Sister Maira's family were finishing the reconstruction of a pier that had been destroyed in hurricane Mitch.
