Here we are, en route to Morocco! We will stay there for two nights and then head to Burkina Faso. It has been such a saga getting ready for this trip - from permission off of work to visas to who was going. But we made it! Ed, Sara and I were all a bit giddy..

We arrived in Casablanca, and immediately rented a car and go on the road to Marrakesh. Here we are by the Koutoubia mosque in the old city..

So we consoled ourselves by having a monkey put on our heads.

Lonely Planet warned us that the monkeys were not treated well and that we shouldn't encourage them by giving any money.. Unfortunately we didn't read this until post-monkey head. Poor Monkeys!!

We took a ride to dinner in a horse drawn carriage. Ed and Sara thought it funny to 'rock the casbah' as we passed the wall. Kids these days...... ;-)
