Here we are, en route to Morocco! We will stay there for two nights and then head to Burkina Faso. It has been such a saga getting ready for this trip - from permission off of work to visas to who was going. But we made it! Ed, Sara and I were all a bit giddy..

We arrived in Casablanca, and immediately rented a car and go on the road to Marrakesh. Here we are by the Koutoubia mosque in the old city..

Unfortunately they wouldn't let us go in because we weren't Muslim.

So we consoled ourselves by having a monkey put on our heads.

Lonely Planet warned us that the monkeys were not treated well and that we shouldn't encourage them by giving any money.. Unfortunately we didn't read this until post-monkey head. Poor Monkeys!!

We then had to console ourselves from our role in monkey abuse with some delicious multicolored live peeps. mmmMMMmmm... Peeps...

The square of Marrakesh, Djemaa el Fna, is supposed to be the busiest square in all of Africa.

Here is the minaret of the Katoubia mosque at sunset.. Pretty! :-)

We took a ride to dinner in a horse drawn carriage. Ed and Sara thought it funny to 'rock the casbah' as we passed the wall. Kids these days...... ;-)
