Ed and I arrived in London two days before the start of the rally, neither of us had seen the car that we had purchased over the phone. We were very excited to arrive and see that the car did indeed exist, and was in pristine condition as advertised.

The rally started at the Goodwood Motor Circuit with the Festival of Slow. Half of the rally's total 300 teams started here, and the other half would start in the Czech Republic two days later.

Two mechanically inclined young men decided to make the rally as hard as they reasonably could on themselves by removing the front axle and both wheels, and replacing it with a modified axle and single wheel in the center.
