On our second day in the Shetland Islands we landed at Bailey Head on Deception Island. First to greet us was a group of Fur Seals.

On this tiny island there are 50,000 breeding pairs of Chinstrap Penguins.

Landing and leaving this beach was a bit tricky, the surf was high and we only had a few seconds to load up before the next wave hit. As my boat was leaving, the crew members that were helping us vacate were blindsided by a big wave and went under - so cold!!!
